In the wake of recent natural disasters, The Rise Up has decided to show support for All Hands Volunteers.
In the wake of the recent hurricanes Harvey and Irma, The Rise Up has been looking for ways in which we could help and give back. We know that the one of the most important parts of recovery after these disasters are the people who volunteer their time to help those in need. It is for that reason we’ve chosen to support All Hands Volunteers, a US-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that addresses the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by natural disasters by engaging and leveraging volunteers, partner organizations and local communities.
The Rise Up is committed to supporting top rated charitable organizations and we are launching a campaign where all donations will go DIRECTLY to All Hands in an effort to support their work in the recovery from the hurricanes. The campaign will run through the end of September. You can show your support by donating at https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/team/rise-up-for-all-hands.
We are moved by those who give their time, sweat and sometimes tears for the people who need it most when they need it most. The ripple effect of positivity that volunteers provide is inspiring! Let’s Rise Up and show our support for All Hands Volunteers! Every amount helps!
First of all — THANK YOU to everyone who has been so supportive of The Rise Up and our efforts to support amazing charities! Now, you know it doesn’t stop there, right? We’re not done with our support of RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) – the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.
Are you in the DC area? Are you free on May 20th? Join us for Lace Up for RAINN – the annual race sponsored by RAINN. Paul Calafiore will be in attendance to show support and would love to have a team showing support alongside him!
Not in the DC area and still want to show solidarity for the race? You can do a Virtual 5K where ever you are, as a part of our team! To do this, you can also register online at The Rise Up team page (the Virtual 5k fee is $30). Can’t do the 5K but want to show you’re on board with the team? You can sponsor a runner on the team page or just make a donation on the main page, as well. Let us know if you’re participating by tagging us on social media and using #RiseUpForRAINN!
The Rise Up has decided to support RAINN — the United States’ largest anti-sexual violence organization.
Supporting victims of sexual assault and domestic violence has is very important to Paul. During his college years, he was a a member of an organization that created peer educational, interactive programs that provide information about interpersonal violence including sexual assault, dating violence, same-sex violence, stalking, bullying, and peer harassment. It is only natural that he wants to continue work to prevent violence and help victims.
The Rise Up is committed to supporting top rated charitable organizations and have chose RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization for our first fundraiser of 2017. Just like previous campaign, this is not just a fundraiser – it’s a movement.
Here’s how supporters can join the fight against sexual violence:
Donate. These donations will help RAINN to operate the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) and carry out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice. You can show your support by donating at https://fundraise.rainn.org/TheRiseUp
Support Survivors. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline which provides critical support to survivors & their loved ones 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Volunteer for Online Hotline or at your local sexual assault service provider.
Spread the Word on Social Media. Connect survivors with help by reaching out to individuals in need of all of the wonderful support that RAINN provides. Educate your network by debunking myths and sharing facts about sexual violence. #ActWithRAINN and it’s Policy Action Center by making sure that Congress hears your voice!
